Content Editors (Boston, MA)
Description: We are seeking experienced el-hi Content
Editors in the disciplines of Reading/Language Arts, Translation
Services, World Languages, and Science. Editors will
manage multiple products; develop and review for high quality
products in their area of expertise; work with developers and
authors; edit manuscript; and serve as the in-house expert to verify
the accuracy and grade appropriateness of all material. Must have
strong content and publishing knowledge.
Content Managers (Boston,
MA)
Description: We are seeking experienced el-hi Content
Managers in the disciplines of Reading/Language Arts, Translation
Services, World Languages, and Science. The ideal
candidate will provide strategic direction for managing content
development on an on-going basis; manage the development of
multi-level, multi-component educational products, ensuring that the
products meet company quality standards; plan workflow; manage
project editorial staff; monitor editorial budget; and adhere to
schedule. Will also collaborate with Project Managers to determine
standards for content development and project loading; monitor client
expectations and ensure client satisfaction; and maintain knowledge
of educational trends and practices. Must have strong content and
publishing knowledge. This is a full-time staff position.
Project Assistants
Description: Assists the Project Managers with meeting
clients' needs on a consistent basis by performing routine and
complex tasks according to schedule and budget constraints. Will
assist in tracking and routing project batches and preparing them to
be sent to clients. Must be a highly organized, multitasking,
detail-oriented self-starter who is computer literate. Must be able
to communicate well with others. Working knowledge of Excel and
FileMaker Pro a plus. This is a term-of-project position only.
Proofreader/Spec Analysts
Description: Ensures consistency and accuracy of work
through all stages of production and interfaces with team members to
resolve quality issues and keep work flowing. Must be familiar with
typography, specifications, textbook layout, and standard
proofreading marks. Good grammar and spelling skills are essential,
as are neatness and attention to detail. This is a term-of-project
position only.
QuarkXPress Operators
We are always looking for experienced QuarkXPress operators for day
shift, late shift, term-of-project, and freelance. Here’s an
opportunity to learn new technology, to work on a wide variety of
projects, to be an integral part of a team, and to do it all in a
challenging environment. Ideally, you will have full knowledge of
master pages, style sheets, and library items with some experience in
layout, pagination, and electronic prepress thrown in! Please note
this is not a design position and is term-of-project only.
